I just received a corrected 1098 from my mortgage that shows I paid 1,595 in mortgage interest in 2017. It was not in the first one they sent in Jan. Do I need to amend?

If the $1,595 is in addition the amount you entered on your original return, you can amend, but you are not required to do so.
You should prepare an amendment (at no charge) to see if the above will make a difference to you. If not, you can discard it.
If you like the result. wait until you have receive your refund, or paid your tax due, print and mail the amendment (it cannot be e-filed) and allow about 16 weeks for processing.
