I just received a 1099 that was lost in the mail, and I’ve already received my refund. I reported the income and source originally but not on a 1099. Do I need to amend?

Since the income and source was reported on the original tax return there is no need to amend your return because of the 1099.

No. If you already reported the income on your original return but didn't use the 1099 to report it, it's unlikely that you need to amend your tax return. The key point is that the income was included accurately on your return, regardless of the form you used. Amending is generally needed only if you missed reporting the income entirely or reported the wrong amount.

However, ensure the income was reported correctly and matches the 1099 to avoid any issues. If there are discrepancies, you may consider amending your return.
