You can always file an amended return if there was something you forgot to include, or if a form arrived after you submitted. Use the steps below to submit an amended return. Once you are ready to add the 1095-A you can use the second set of steps.

To File an Amended Return:

1. Wait for your return to be accepted or rejected by the IRS

2. Log into your account, and at your tax timeline select your "2016 Tax Year"

3. Select to "Amend (Change) 2016 return" and follow the directions

To enter your 1095-A:

1. Go to the search bar in the top right corner

2. Enter "1095-A"

3. Select "Jump to 1095-A"

4. Continue through the questions and enter the Obama Care form

5. After you finish you should come to a screen that reads "That's all we need for your 2016 coverage"

6. Select the link on this page that reads "What if I have a form or ECN to enter?"
