I just filed my tax return today (03/12/17). The IRS will not debit from my account what I owe them until 04/18/17, is that correct?

Unless you choose another date then that is correct ... but review your  choice ...  

Check the printout or PDF of your return; look for the filing instruction sheet with the Turbotax logo. 

If you owed tax, it will show the payment information and how you decided to pay.
