I do not recall ever seeing a return like that but it was submitted and accepted by the IRS.
How can I correct this? the correct form was submitted on 3/12

Form 1040-SR is available as an optional alternative to using Form 1040 for taxpayers who are age 65 or older. Form 1040-SR uses the same schedules and instructions as Form 1040 does.
How did you submit "the correct one" on 3/12? Did the first one reject? You can only file 1 return.
Do you mean the 1040SR form?
If you are 65 or older you automatically get the 1040SR. It is the same as the regular 1040 just larger type so it is on 3 pages instead of 2. When you efile the form doesn’t get sent just the data. It only shows up if you download or print your return.
If you use the Desktop program you can switch to forms and the Info Wks part II has a selection to select 1040SR or not. You can not change it in the Online versions. In the Online version if you want to use the regular 1040 form, you can print out the 1040SR and copy the amounts onto the 1040 and then mail your return.
