I inadvertently completed a schedule (Form 8824) that I don't think is required, I realized this after I submitted taxes for refund. Please advise best course of action

At this point please wait. If your return is rejected for some reason, you can change your return and delete like-kind exchange form 882 and of course re-send the return.

If your return has been submitted and accepted- you will have to amend; the return is mailed; takes about 16 weeks to process. Here are amending instructions.
