I hear there is a lump of money coming from the government due to covid-19 and that they will use your most recent tax return information to get the money to us. If the bank account I used to have my

Return sent to is closed... how would I update my new bank account info with the IRS to make sure I receive that money?

The stimulus bill has not been passed yet by the government. Unfortunately until it has been completed and finalized, we have no way of knowing yet for sure. Usually these are sent out via paper check but there is talk that if you used your bank account for direct deposit for your taxes, it may go directly into that account.

That is my point... if it’s headed directly to my account that I used to have my refund sent to which is now a closed account, I have a new bank account. What would I do?
