I haven't filed my 2019 taxes yet due to increased income from an inheritance. My 2020 taxes have been filed and income qualifies for stimulus. Will I get my stimulus?

The stimulus payments are based on 2020 taxes. You should receive all three stimulus payments if you filed your 2020 return.

If you did not receive the first two payments or the amount was less than you were supposed to get, they were added to your 2020 tax return as a Recovery Rebate Credit.

The third payment is being sent out now. You can check the status of your third stimulus payment at Get My Payment?

You should file 2019. If you owe tax, the IRS will keep adding penalty and interest until you pay your tax bill. If you are getting a refund, you have three years from the due date of the return to claim it.

Thanks Ernie, another question though. My 2020 tax return has been accepted and I am scheduled to get my refund this week. I still can't see my stimulus status, will that likely change and how long will it likely take to get my stimulus since my 2020 taxes have been accepted and approved?

The best thing to do is to use the link below to track your payment.  The IRS is the only agency that will be able to provide any updates in regards to your stimulus payments.
