I have purchased Turbo Tax software and already paid for it, plus I would like to review my returns. How can this be done?

Turbo Tax is requesting payment?? But they never requested my license?

I have purchased Turbo Tax software and already paid for it, plus I would like to review my returns. How can this be done?

You bought a code for the Desktop software.  You need to download and install the program on your computer first.   You need a full Windows 11 or Mac OS Sonoma 14 computer to install it. 

 

How to get started with the Desktop program, install and activate it

Then you can continue your Online return in the Desktop program.

After you get the program installed the first thing to do is to update the program and install any state programs you need. So you first need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE-NEW). Just enter some basic personal info like your name and address then click on the State tab at the top and it should ask if you want to download the state program.

Do not click "Start a New Return." Go up to File-Open and click on "Continue From TurboTax Online."
