You do not have anything in the system for them to use yet if you did not file 2019 and only filed 2020 a few days ago. You will have to be patient. The IRS will not have anything to use to issue a stimulus check to you until they have finished processing the 2020 return you filed a few days ago. If you have not filed in 3 years--you are not even on their radar yet.
That make total sense, but I received the first stimulus check via direct deposit, but didn't get the 2nd stimulus, but they did apply it to my 2020 return when I filed. So, is there a chance that I will still get it soon?
Maybe-----did you file something as a "non-filer" last year? Or do you receive Social Security, SSI or veteran's benefits? Those things would get the stimulus check sent automatically.
