I have mailed the required documents to Department of the Treasury in February. But my federal return status is still "Ready to mail". I don't know what's wrong.

I mailed the return and attachments from Hong Kong, so I am not sure if the Department of the Treasury really received my mail. And seems I cannot e-file and I don't know why. What should I do now?

It will continue to say "ready to mail", since TurboTax has no way ot knowing if you actually placed the return in a mailbox and mailed it.  TurboTax does not receive any feedback on your mailed return.

Normally it's best to mail things to the IRS with a method that has tracking, so a person wouldn't wonder if it was received.   But if you didn't add a tracking method, you may not know for some time if the IRS received it.

Are you due a Federal refund?  If so, it won't show up in the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool, until approximately 4 weeks after mailing.  It may take a bit longer since it was mailed from overseas.

But after 4 weeks from mailing, if you are due a refund, see if it shows up here:
http://www.irs.gov/Refunds

Or did you owe taxes due that you had to pay?
