The only way to generate those forms with TurboTax is with Quick Employee Forms. If you filed with Self-employed and paid for your return with a credit card, there should not be a problem accessing QEF, but if you paid with your refund, then you will not be able to use QEF until the refund has processed and TurboTax Self-Employed has been paid for.
If necessary, you can still download and print blank copies of Form W-2 directly from the IRS website. A copy of the Form W-2 can be filled out by hand in accordance to IRS instructions and submitted by mail.
I don't know if you have to wait for payment to clear. I can access Quick Employer Forms from the Self Employed version without paying or filing.
Click on Add a State to let you back into your return.
For Online Self Employed version,
Log into your account
Scroll down to Your Account and click on Show
Click on Create W-2s and 1099s
In your return, Anywhere on any screen you see....
Help me prepare and file W-2s and 1099s
Click on it and the side box will open, Then click on Quick Employer Formsin the side box.
Or from the Account Screen it will take you directly to Quick Employer Forms

Order was paid with a credit card before I filed. But QEF puts me in the paywall loop every time I attempt to access it.
Once I paid and filed, there seems to be no way to log back into TSE. When I attempt to do so, it just sends me to my main Turbo Tax Online account page which shows all of my previous year's returns but no access to filling out new forms. I may have to fill them out by hand.
Log in and at the Tax Home or in the section Your Tax Returns & Documents for 2020, look for a link Add a State. Click on Add a State. (you don't really add one. That's just to open your return back up.)
If you can't get back in then I think I can find a screen tomorrow.
Thank you, that did get me back into the return, but there are still no links to create W2s. This has happened in previous years as well where the link to create W2s do not show up when I am working in the return pror to submitting to the IRS and then there are issues with logging into QEF. I always thought that it must have something to do with processing the payment to Intuit, but the cc payment to Intuit for use of Self-Employed has cleared and I still do not have access to QEF.
