Why would you do that? The stimulus for Married Filing Jointly is twice that of filing separately and the rest of the tax will probably be more. Also amended returns take about 4 months to process. (probably longer now).

Also you can't amend from Joint to MFS after April 15. Did you maybe mean you Amended to Joint?
