Starting in tax year 2019, you are no longer required to have health insurance. The Obama Administration’s penalty for not having health insurance was repealed by the Trump Administration.
If you received a letter from the IRS, there should be a contact number in the upper right hand corner of the screen. The 1095-A form is from the Health Insurance Marketplace and is used to create form 8962 Premium Tax Credit.
