I had the direct deposit set up to go to my account. It was deposited in to my account, but later taken out. Why did that happen?

Was told that my husband name was not primarily on the account so it was rejected. Will take 5-6 weeks to receive a paper check.

The account must match the names on the tax return, if it does not then the bank will reject the return. Once the return is rejected the IRS will issue a paper check, mailed to the address on the tax return. It can take 2-3 weeks for the IRS to receive the refund back, and an additional 14 days for you to receive the paper check in the mail.
