I had recently had a name change and I accidentally put my old name and not my current. Its already filed . Is there anything I can do?

You should have entered on your tax return the name that is on your current Social Security card. If you did, then there is no issue with your tax return from the IRS. If you did not, then the IRS will reject your tax return and you will have to correct the problem and e-file again.

Don't do anything yet. First, wait until you are ACCEPTED, or REJECTED.

If your return is ACCEPTED, it may flow right through the process.

If it is REJECTED, you will be able to make the correction and re-submit it.
