I had my e-file rejected. I have found out I am being claimed by my mother still. How to I amend my file and allow someone to claim me?
I already e-filed and had it rejected for being claimed.
It lets me change my answer to “did you pay for at least 50% of your living expenses?”
But it doesn’t let me change my previous answer to the question “can/will someone else be claiming you?”

When your return is rejected, you don't amend it. You revisit it and modify the information that is causing the rejection.
An amended return is filed when you need to modify information after a return has been accepted.
So, since you are rejected, you do not amend your return.

The question you are referring to is at the very beginning of the tax return under personal info.
