I had another company prepare my return. It’s a little complicated. I just need someone to file it. Can turbo tax file an already prepared return?

No.   If you want to file using TurboTax then you need to use TT software to prepare the return.  It does not make sense that you would want TT to file a return prepared elsewhere.  Why was it not filed by the preparer that entered all of the information?  Or.....you can file it by mail yourself.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.

No.  You would have to fill it all out again in Turbo Tax.  Either into the Online version or the Desktop CD/Download program.  Turbo Tax is for self prepared returns.

Why can't the other company file it?  I assume you had to pay for it.  What did you get?  A print out or a pdf file?
