I got the check for my tax refund, but it says that the refund got adjusted. My original refund was $2,967, but the check refund from mail was $1,926.
The check refund informs that the refund was adjusted.

A difference of just about $1000 suggests that you may have made a data entry error.

the IRS should be sending you a letter explaining the changes.
