A possibility is that your refund was changed by the government to correct an error. For example, one year I forgot to claim an estimated tax payment that I had made.

You'll get an explanatory letter (in about 2 weeks) from the government if your refund differs from what was on your filed return.

I have been waiting for my tax refund for more than 3 months and the IRS refund status is “refund recieved” for a long time, I don't know what the problem is.
