please clarify exactly what you did when requesting refund and what exactly happened. normally if you don't have a a bank account you would have the refund put on a debit card. .
TurboTax only forwards your bank information to the IRS. It is the IRS that does the actual deposit unless you opted to pay the TurboTax fees from the refund in which case a 3rd party bank makes the deposit.
If the deposit was refused by your bank then that is between you and the bank. Many banks refuse direct deposit if the name on the deposit is not an exact match to the name on the account - check with your bank.
If the bank refused the deposit for any reason then a check will be mailed.
And having no ID is your own personal problem to work out. That is not a problem we can help with. Usually if you do not have a driver's license you can take some documents to your state's Dept. of Motor Vehicles and obtain a state-issued ID. Or provide some proof of your identity (birth certificate, utility bills, etc.) to a bank and open an account to deposit your check.
And if you have no ID then how is it that you have a bank account (that requires ID) to have a direct deposit in the first place - if you were having it deposited in someone else's account then that is why the bank rejected it.
