I got a direct deposit date of 2/24/2025 and paid for five days earlier when will I receive my refund?

Remember that the “”5 day early” date is based on the date given to you on the IRS refund site—-not the date the TT site shows in your account.   If your refund does not come in five days ahead of the IRS date, they are supposed to cancel the $25 fee.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

You should receive an email from TurboTax that your refund is on its way. If you don't receive your refund by today, you will also receive a follow up email as to why TurboTax was unable to deposit your funds on time, and you will be entitled to receive a refund of the $25 fee charged if applicable.

What if I also elected for 5 days early, have a code 846 showing 2/24 DDD, but selected to have TT fees taken from refund (has to go through SBTG first)? Will I not be charged the $25 because technically I did not receive the funds 5 days early (since has to to SBTG first)? Or does TT go by 5 days early they release the funds and where it goes from there is not their concern?

***UPDATE***

Just received refund via BoA DD so the 5 day early actually works! See everyone next year!  Time to go buy my new Canyon road bike!

Does anyone know if Bank of America excepts the 5 days early through TT because I did the 5 days early and my transcripts updated just wondering if I’ll have to wait till the deposit date on the transcripts because of bank of America or if they will release it early

I just seen someone with Bank of America get their refund using the 5 day early and the paid fees using their refund . IRS DDD was 2/24 and the person got their money on 2/19. Hope that helps .i have BOA as well so my fingers are crossed

My deposit date is the 25th it was updated on the irs site today around 9am did the five day early using credit Karma still didn’t get it yet. Hopefully today.

If you do not get your federal refund from TT in 5 days of your IRS deposit date, then you will not be charged the $25 fee thru TT. TT only takes the $25 fee if you are getting your refund 5 days early, so they do not charge the fee, unless it is 5 days early. I hope this helps!
