I gave the wrong routing number for my direct deposit

The name of the financial institution is correct, but the routing number is not.

If you have already filed, then unfortunately the information cannot be corrected. When the IRS tries to deposit your refund and it doesn't go through, they will issue you a paper check. If you have NOT already filed, you can change you direct deposit information by doing the following:

• When you log into your account and go back into your tax timeline, you should see the File tab at the end.
• There are three steps listed. Click on Start/Revisit next to Step 2. Then click on in my bank
• Once here, if there is an account listed that is incorrect or nor current MAKE SURE THE BOX UNDER THE ACCOUNT INFO IS UNCHECKED (will say something like "I want my refund deposited in this account")
• When you hit Continue, it should take you to the next page which will allow you to update your information
• Once everything is entered in, click continue at the bottom and it should take you back to the three step page

Since this happened, is there an estimate on when the check will arrive?

Keep checking with your bank to see if they have tried to deposit it your account. You can also keep tracking the refund through IRS website: <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://www.irs.gov/refunds">https://www.irs.gov/refunds</a>
