I finished my return, e-filed my federal & state, but when I try to view/download a copy of my taxes it comes up as an unreadable text file. I need it to be a PDF

If the Download/print return button on the Tax Home web page cannot be used to print your tax return, then follow this procedure -

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.  See screenshot

This will take you back to the 2018 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen.  Then click on Print Center.  Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.  Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets

I don't know what's going on. I'm signed in, but only one page will show. There is only the button to view/download my tax return and it only shows up as a messed up text file. There are not any other places to click and navigate away from that screen. Nothing along the top and nothing along the left.

You do not see the lower portion of the screen as shown in the screenshot provided?  Or the line on your screen that says "Your tax returns & documents"?

No, the lower portion of the screenshot you included was not there. It was the strangest page I have ever seen on Turbo Tax, and I have been using them for over 12 years. There was literally a tab up towards the top of the page to view/download/print my 2018 return. No other tabs or links were shown at the top of the page or along the left side. I tried signing out of my account, then logging back in, but all it would do is take me back to the same exact page. The lower half of the screen only gave me the option to view prior year's return, but even clicking on that, it would only take me to a page to buy PLUS, which would allow me to view old returns.

I can see that you are using a Chrome web browser.  You may want to consider upgrading Chrome to the latest release, Version 72.0.3626.109.  It is the same browser I use and have no issues using Chrome on the TurboTax website.  If you update then close and re-open the browser, sign onto your TurboTax account - <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://myturbotax.intuit.com/">https://myturbotax.intuit.com/</a>
If the problem persists then change your browser to Internet Explorer to see if that gives the same results.

Thank you very kindly!!  It came up with this year's info and worked perfectly! I printed all the pages (72!) and found some I didn't know existed that are very helpful.  Thanks again, you saved me from a migraine tonight!
