I filed taxes for the first time for 2017 and put a 0 for 2016 income despite having a job. Do I need to change it?

I filed taxes for 2017 and when filling out the form, I put a 0 for 2016 in the year by year comparison. I had a job in 2016 but never filed my taxes for that year(I'm a senior in high school and live with my parents). If I plan on filing 2016 taxes, do I need to amend my 2017 file?

You did it right.  If you did not file 2016 yet you put zero.  When you do 2016 it won’t affect this 2017 return.  Each year is separate.

No, there would be no reason to amend the 2017 tax return since a 2016 tax return was never filed.  Even if you file a 2016 tax return at a later date, your 2016 AGI will still be 0 in the IRS database.
