I filed my taxes on 2/3/18. I claimed my 3 dependents and as head of household. Federal and state were both accepted the next day. When I look on the IRS website to track my refund, it keeps saying

Does it say:

" We have received your tax return and it is being processed.
If you filed a complete and accurate tax return, your refund should be issued within 21 days of the received date. However, processing may take longer under certain circumstances.
Please check here or use our free mobile app, IRS2Go, to check on your refund status"

This may be because, even though it takes the IRS 21 days to issue most refunds, the IRS will hold refunds for EITC and ACTC-related tax returns. The refunds for these Returns cannot be processed by the IRS until Feb. 15th. Even after this date it will take a few day for the IRS to process.
