I filed my taxes for 2019 with turbotax about an hour ago. Turbo tax gives me an option to print my return but DOES NOT GIVE ME THE FILE TO PRINT! What is going on?

Hi...I completed my tax return.  It said I am not eligible to E-File but when I clicked the "Need help Printing" option, it says I filed my 2019 returns.  Does this mean I did E-File or do I still need to print and mail my return?

@Kazmirae Hmmm....  Use the link below to check the status of an e-filed return.  At least that way, you'll know if you somehow e-filed.  Seems like that would be impossible if the program said you must file by mail.

How do I check my e-file status? 

If you haven't yet e-filed, go back through the FILE portion of your TurboTax program and select "File by Mail".  From there, the program should take you through the appropriate steps to make payment and then print for filing.  Here's a link to a TT FAQ that instructs you.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

Or -

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state. 

This will take you back to the 2019 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen.  Then click on Print Center.  Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.  Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets
