I filed my taxes a little over a week ago. My state return has showed pending since I filed. Is there anything I can do to find out why they haven't been accepted?

They are still pending because the IRS will not open for E-Filing until January 29th, 2018.

I guess I just don't understand why my federal forms got accepted within 8 hours but my state forms have been pending for 8 days.
