I filed my tax return on Feb 6th and it is now the 16th and my status still say accepted and not approved. Is any one else experiencing the same thing?

• The only way to know when your refund will be released is to use the IRS Where's My Refund tool.
• The IRS Where's My Refund? lookup service provides a specific, personalized date for your tax refund.
• The TurboTax Refund Tracker, on the other hand, projects an estimated date range on when you can expect your refund.
• The exception would be if you are claiming the EITC/ACTC you will not receive a refund until late February. https://www.irs.gov/individuals/refund-timing.

IRS accepted ours on the 6th and so far they still have not been accepted.

Most Federal refunds are issued within 21 days of the return being accepted by the IRS (this is not based on when you filed).   Please keep in mind that once you e-file or mail your return only the IRS has any control over it.
