I filed my tax return, and shows on the irs website they sent out a confirmation code via usps. Is there another way to get the 14 digit code? Someone help please!

I haven't yet received the letter they sent me, and I'm trying to verify my idenity another way other than that code so they can process my return. Does anyone know another way that i can verify so they'll process the return? Because It's been 2 almost 3 weeks and I've yet to get anything in the mail from them at all.

 Things don't move fast at the IRS, so 2-3 weeks is not surprising (at least to me.)

If you have an IRS online account (or can establish one), there is a tab in the account for Notices/Letters sent to you.  However, I don't specifically know if that would have a copy of your ID Verification letter in there or not.

Thanks bunches for the reply, but unfortunately they didn't add that letter to my letters/notices on the website. I've already checked there.

It may be best just to wait for the letter.

Unfortunately no I've called the number and can't actually speak with a person it's all automated, I did call another number and was able to make an appointment to go in to the office (which is around 1.5 hours away from!) And verify in person. I have an appt on Thursday. I had a call back from turbotax, to speak with someone, I was highly and I mean highly disappointed, #1 he barely understood what I was telling him, #2 he read what seemed like it was straight off a google search, I know because I'd already Googled it myself and almost word for word is what he had read me. And I paid extra for their help while doing my taxes!!!

Awww, you shouldn't be mad that he tried to help you when you are clearly calling the incorrect place to get information.  If you know the IRS is requiring you to take additional steps to verify your identity why call and beat up on the representatives who answer the phone at TurboTax.  

Deal with your situation with the IRS  Don't take it out on the people who have to put up with your anger and frustration because you can't get a human on the phone at the IRS.
