I filed my amended 2019 tax returns last year and never got them back. What should I do?

Thing is I have a relative who also filed after me and they got their taxes back before me.

Wait patiently.  The IRS has a large backlog of paper returns.  During normal times, an amended return can take up to 6 months to process.  Due to COVID, delays of a year plus are occurring.
