Did you e-file? Did you click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”
Was your return accepted:

If your e-filed return was accepted then you do not need to mail anything.
If your e-file status does not say "accepted" then your return has NOT been filed. Print, sign and mail it.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Remember that a state return gets mailed in its own envelope to the state--do not mail it to the federal address.

TurboTax will not know anything about your mailed return, and will continue to show “Ready to Mail” on your account. TurboTax will not know that you put your tax return in an envelope and took it to a mailbox. TurboTax does not get updates on mailed (or emailed) returns.
