Just needing to make sure this won’t effect my parents when they file

Not being to see your return makes it difficult to assess this, but it leads to the question of "Who were the dependents that you reported on your return that allowed you to file HOH?"
If you declared a dependent, say your child, and in fact, it was your parents who supported your child, then they would be expecting to list your child as their dependent. But once you filed listing your child as a dependent, they will not be able to (the e-file will be rejected because the child's SS number was already used on your return).
Another thing is that if you can be claimed as a dependent by your parents, then you can't claim to be Head of Household. Once you filed, your parents can't take you as a dependent because, like above, your SS number has already been used on a return.
This is why families need to sit down and discuss their tax situation with each other before anyone files, because one person can innocently affect the filing for the others without realizing it.
