I filed for direct debit to be paid yesterday, and I still don’t see any withdrawal for what I owed, and deposit for my return. Is this normal?

I did it successfully last year the same way. I am 100% certain I did direct debit, but it says “Ready to mail.”

Ready to mail indicates the tax return was not e-filed but is ready for mailing

See this for how to change from mail to e-file - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/change-mail-e-file-turbotax-o...

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.

This will take you back to the 2025 online tax return.

It can take several days for your account to be debited for a payment, but it's considered paid when you filed.  Check the Filing Instructions page in your saved PDF copy to verify how you chose to pay/receive your refund.

If you Efiled, you would have received an email from TurboTax when your return was Accepted. Since you see 'ready to mail' your return may not be been successfully Efiled.  Here's how to Check Efile Status.
