I filed by federal return, but not state. Now I can not see a way to return to complete my state return.

The Virginia part-year resident return is not ready.  It is scheduled to be available for efiling or printing on 2/03/2017.

You can check on the availability of state forms here:
https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1908857-state-forms-availability-table-for-turbotax-individual-per...

I'll go ahead and leave the following info on how to file it once the forms become available:

Since your Federal return has already been accepted, and once all your state forms are available, you can then go back and open up your State return to complete and file it.  Carefully review it before filing since the forms may have updated since you last worked on it.

NOTE:  When you go back to your account to finish and file your return, you may see a notice to finish and file the state return.  If so, you can follow that path to see if it gets you back to the state return.

If it doesn't, here's a way to open the state return back up:
  • Log in and go to the 2016 Tax Timeline.
  • Scroll to "Some things you can do."
  • Choose "Add a state."  (you're not really adding one; that's just to get the return to open up.)
  • Once the return is open, you can go to the State Taxes tab to complete the state return.  Carefully review it before filing since some of the forms may have updated.
  • Also step through the Review tab.
  • When you go through the FILE tab for efiling, make sure you go all the way to the end and click on "Transmit return now."

Please answer all of these questions:

What state?
Is it a resident return, part-year resident, or non-resident return?
Did you efile the Federal return?   Has the efiled Federal return been accepted, and if so, longer than 24 hours?

Virginia part-year resident. I efiled the federal return and it was accepted more than 24 hours ago.
