I filed but accidentally claimed son and got a higher refund than I should have and I filed an amendment, ex-wife is unable to claim. Will this resolve itself so she can?

The other parent will now have to file by printing, signing and mailing her return. Since the child's SSN is already in the system for the year, her e-file will reject. She has to mail it now. She does not have to wait for your amended return to be processed. She can go ahead and claim the child and mail in her return.
