I filed an amended state refund back in May, on the 23rd it was accepted , I stilled have not received the $800 refund. Why?

What box did you forget to check?  Did you wait to amend until the first return was done processing and you got the first refund or paid a tax due?   You will still get the original refund or need to pay the tax due.  Then the amended return is only for the difference you get back or owe.
