I efiled my taxes on January 23rd. The IRS still doesn't have them and on here shows pending. Why? Shouldn't they be there by now

The IRS just opened for E-file, nationwide today.  It may take as long as 48 hours to receive word of whether the return is accepted or rejected at the IRS.  Keep checking back throughout that time.  If after that you still have a pending status, add another question or comment.
