If you do not qualify for the TurboTax Prepaid Visa card and do not have a bank account, the IRS offers the option to have your federal tax refund mailed to you in the form of a check. However, the IRS will only mail the check to the address listed in your Personal Information of your return.
Please follow the instructions below to change/select your refund method.
- Sign into your TurboTax Online account
- Click on Take me to my return and then open the Navigation bar on the left of the screen
- Click File on the Navigation bar and proceed to the Just one more step screen.
- On this screen, click the Revisit link next to "Your refund info"
- Click View Payment Options on the next screen, and select the refund method of your choice.
