you will get a 2021 1099-R showing how much was taken out aka distributed to you.

To get to the retirement section to post a 1099-R you will go to:

1. Federal Wages & Income
2. Scroll down to IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)
3. Did you get a 1099-R in 2021?   Yes
4. Get ready to be impressed   Continue
5. You can import or Change how I enter my form
6. You can choose the best option for you and continue with your return.
