i do not have an 8 or 10 digit numbe for document purposes on my new york state drivrers license. how can i locate it?

Check the pictures provided by NY to ensure you are using the right number. (It's not the DMV-ID number)

AND..the tax software is asking for ONLY the first three characters...not the whole number.
