Do not expect quick results from amending. It can take four or five months or more for the IRS to process an amended return.
You can watch for information here:

They said they cancelled as I was supposed to do something but IDK what as I never got anything they said they sent in a email.. but I can't reach a person to figure out what it was

Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
Then press 3 for all other inquiries
It should then transfer you to an agent.
@mgdedonder1 What year did you amend? February seems too early to amend 2023. Was your original 2023 return filed? Was it accepted? You needed to wait to amend until the first return was done processing and you got the first refund or paid a tax due.
To check your original return. When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile. And check your spam folder for them.
When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say?
