Let me help you. Have you tried checking the status of your return using the IRS Where's My Refund? tool?

Have you checked whether the return was actually accepted? You can tell by checking the status of your return in TurboTax.

  • If your return has been accepted by the IRS and is still processing
    • Although 90% of people receive their refunds within 21 days of being accepted, about 10% or 15 million people will get their refund after 21 days. Sometimes simple errors or oversights can lead to a delay of your refund. Sometimes early filers experience delays in refund funding due to late changes in the tax code or procedures.
    • TurboTax does not have access to why specific refunds may be delayed due to keeping your privacy and information safe.
    • Your next option is to call the IRS directly at 800-829-1040.
  • If your return was rejected
    • See link below that explains how to fix a rejected return in TurboTax

  • If your return is still pending or has not been sent in TurboTax
    • Go through the File section again and click the green Transmit Returns Now button.  Make sure to go all the way to the end of the section.

  • The deadline to file taxes is April 18th, so you still have time.
