I did direct deposit and realized I gave the wrong routing number for it. What do I need to do

Once the tax return has been e-filed it cannot be retrieved or changed.  The IRS will not be accepting any 2016 tax returns until January 23.  After that date TurboTax will send you an email when the IRS either accepts or rejects your tax return.  If the return is rejected you can change the bank information and re-file.  If accepted then when the IRS approves your refund and sends it to the bank for direct deposit, the bank will reject the deposit based on the wrong account for your name.  The IRS will then mail you a refund check to the address entered on your tax return.
