I completed my return. I owe the IRS money. I paid Turbo Tax to file my return, but I can't tell if it's been filed. How do I find out??

What is your filing method--efile or by mail? 

Paying for the product does not automatically file the return.

If you chose to efile, then after paying for your product, did you go all the way to the last screen and click on a button "Transmit My Returns Now?"    If so, you should get 2 emails--the first that the return had been submitted, and followed by another one in 24-48 hours (or much sooner) saying if it was accepted or rejected.

What is currently showing on the Tax Home page of your online account?   Does it say pending, accepted, rejected, printed, started, ready to mail, or what?

How did you choose to pay the IRS?   Did you choose to pay from inside TurboTax  file section (by setting up ACH debit or credit/debit card), or did you plan to pay at the IRS website?
