This is normal. It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find a record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. 

Taxpayers who claim the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) may experience a refund hold. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund?  tool for updates. Updates are made daily, usually overnight. You may also download the IRS2Go app to check your Federal refund status.

I’m confused because I watch Tax Slayers, HR block, Free Tax. Com they all accept or reject within an 1 hour.  I filed last week and TurboTax did not have American tax credit for school form so it was rejected I called in & got help she checked to make sure the form was attached & 3 days later it was rejected again for the same issue & now this time I removed the college form I’m so mad, so now I have been waiting for my 1 week & 1 day this is horrible.  I will never use TurboTax again I paid $320 for my taxes to not even reach the IRS as the other programs do that I mention.
