Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

I chose to print and mail my taxes, but a confirmation page says Turbotax has "sent my forms to the IRS." Is this correct? My form status is "ready to mail."

I'm confused by the conflicting messages and I've since changed information so I don't want to send in 2 different completed forms. Please help.

If you did not click the Transmit return now or Transmit Returns Now button, your return would not be e-filed. That message would show if the system thinks you have printed and mailed your return already. If you are still seeing Ready to Mail, you can go ahead and print and mail them.

Also, you can check e-file status here to see if you did e-file https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/ and if nothing shows there, that also lets you know you did not e-file.

You can find steps to print and mail using the links below, depending on which version of TurboTax you used to complete the return.

If you mail your federal return and are expecting a refund you can start checking the status of your return on the IRS website Where's My Refund 4 weeks after mailing your return. It takes that amount of time for it to show up in their system.

You only want to call them if it’s been at least 6 weeks since you mailed and at that time, you can reach them at the IRS tax refund hotline at 800-829-4477, Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Choose your state here How do I track my state refund? and it will provide you instructions on how to check the status of your state return on your state's website.
