I cannot be claimed as a dependent because I made over the limit in 2016 but my mom put me on her taxes by accident and I am now having trouble filing.

Thank you for contacting AnswerXchange. Since your Mom already claimed you, she will have to wait until she receives her refund to amend her return. Once she's amended, you will then be able to claim yourself.
Also, she may have to pay back any money she received for you.

Well, she actually received her refund and spent it. Now she just owes. And I’m screwed out of my money. She hasn’t paid yet. I received Half of my money. When should i receive my rest? Do i receive It only when she pays it?

If you were not supposed to be claimed as a dependent then your parent needs to file an amended return. Did you file and say you could be claimed as a dependent on Mom's return? If so, then you were not able get your own exemption, which may have lowered your refund. Mom filing an amended return has nothing at all to do with you getting your refund, though. First explain what you said on your own return--did you say you could reclaimed as a dependent or did you say you could not be claimed? How old are you? Are you a full-time student? Did you earn more than $4050 in 2016?
