I asked the question. TTax is very hard to communicate with and made errors in my 2018 taxes. I have no one to speak to and will switch to an accountant next year.

This is the only question I see posted under this username.  

I can't tell from your post which version of TurboTax you used when preparing your 2018 return.  If you used the Free Edition (Online), telephone support is not a feature of that version.  You can always post a question in this forum.  Hopefully someone will be able to assist you.

TurboTax is a self-prepared tax preparation program.  Though there are options to access tax professionals this year (LIVE feature), most who use the programs do them alone.  Most (though not all) errors are a result of user error.  

Sorry for your difficulties in using the program.  Perhaps using an accountant is the right choice for you.

I am having a similar issue, as i filed my taxes this year, i did NOT claim my son, i checked the box stating that his mother was claiming him this year, and low and behold, she went to submit her taxes and they were rejected because it says someone already claimed him. So i went back, checked my return, and No i did not claim him, there are no dependants claimed on my return, & i did in fact check the box permittimg his mother to claim him, BUT for whatever reason, Turbotax somehow added the EIC to my return on my sons behalf without me claiming him AND SPECIFICALLY specifying that his mother would be claiming him this year. SO now i got a low value of EIC for a child I did not claim, his mother is getting NO EIC, and neither of us received the child tax credit because they will not allow her to claim him at all. SO PLEASE TELL ME HOW THIS IS MY FAULT IN ANY WAY AND WHY I AM NOT ALLOWED TO SPEAK TO A REP WITHOUT PAYING??? THIS IS CLEARLY NOT MY MISTAKE, AND VERY CLEARLY TURBOTAX'S FAULT, AND I NEED TO SPEAK WITH A REP LIKE NOW AT NO COST TO ME!!!!!! For hours now I have been tryin to get in touch with someone - anyone at Turbotax about this issue, with no luck. This is by far the worst experience as a customer I have ever had anywhere in my entire life and my head is about to explode!!! Any idea what i am to do from here without having to pay them for the error they made???
