Please read this thoroughly and click on the relevant links:

*You can only get the Refund Advance on a new Turbo Visa Debit Card. If you received a Turbo Prepaid Card last year, you’ll need to create a new account and receive a new card to receive your Refund Advance funds for this year. You won’t see the funds if you log in with the account you made last year.

I picked direct deposit so I guess that means I don't get the advance?

If you picked direct deposit, then no, you will not be getting the Refund Advance as it is only available on the Turbo Visa. For more information, visit: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/refunds/help/about-the-refund-advance-application-process/00/25557
